Job Description

Purchasing Specialist Hybrid in UK (Crawley) potentially open to remote

About the Role: We are searching for a seasoned highly motivated and resultsoriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Pioneer Aero Supply. In this pivotal role you will be instrumental inensuring the precision and accuracy of our inventory. Your primary responsibilities will includesourcing parts from the market meticulously verifying paperwork to ensure alignment withdocumentation and condition specifications and maintaining your own inventory. Additionally youwill evaluate larger purchasing opportunities and collaborate closely with each department touphold our standards of excellence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of measurable experience in Aviation Aftermarket trading
  • The ability to work from the Crawley UK warehouse a minimum of 1 day a week.
  • Existing strong business relationships with individuals and companies in our market/industry
  • Must have exceptional excel knowledge including the use of Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • A strong analytical mind and ability to identify trends and anomalies in the market to gaincompetitive advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate market conditions and make strategic purchases
  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional negotiation and followup skills
  • Flexible with a strong team spirit
  • Willingness to learn adapt and grow with the company

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues vendors and customers tounderstand their needs and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and utilize CRM and data analytics tools to gather analyze and interpret dataidentifying actionable purchase opportunities.
  • Issue purchase orders based on internal needs and inventory levels ensuring that materialsare ordered in a timely and costeffectively.
  • Negotiate pricing payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers to securecompetitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
  • Manage a personal inventory portfolio of around $12 Million ensuring pricing is kept uptodate and competitive.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs as shared by mgmt) and understand how you canuse your KPIs to make a positive impact and/or changes when KPIs are lower thanexpected.
  • Gather in depth knowledge about market trends on assigned projects.
  • Support marketing initiatives by sharing social media posts made by Pioneer yourself orcolleagues to promote sales hiring or acquisition.
  • Identify and develop new markets enhancing purchasing reach and capabilities.
  • Attend conferences meetings and industry events as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings to share insights and collaborate with colleagues.
