Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Abercynon to assist with the appointment of a Electrical Engineer on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 21.00 27.90 per Hour
Summary:
Electrical Engineer role involves supporting building maintenance and project delivery coordinating electrical systems managing contractors and contributing to the Councils Net Zero Carbon initiative. Youll work closely with internal teams contractors and external utilities to ensure safety efficiency and value across Council properties.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical and ancillary services across Council sites.
- Project manage multiple projects across various disciplines from feasibility to onsite supervision.
- Design specify and manage a wide range of electrical building services: lighting power alarms CCTV access systems lifts and more.
- Prepare and manage budgets estimates contracts and invoices.
- Ensure statutory compliance with regulations and Council contract documentation.
- Contribute to asset management including condition surveys and data entry.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Essentials:
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within a property services or local government environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design systems integration and contractor supervision.
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations Health & Safety and statutory compliance.
- Capable of managing multiple projects budgets and contractor performance.
- Skilled in preparing specifications reports and contract documentation.
