Job Summary:
Provides analysis and reporting that supports decision making by management. Participates and provides recommendations on strategic supply network projects that involve data gathering business intelligence report writing and . Assist with Plant reporting/accounting Capital planning data administration and data management using analytical tools and ERP systems. Assists with communicating recommendations derived from analysis with functional and senior leadership teams to drive change and shareholder value.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists with financial / strategic analysis leading to improved decision making including adhoc analysis requests developing new approaches to analysis and creation of new reports utilizing new mechanisms. Participate in annual planning processes maintain updates on annual plan progress and report results. Participates and provides recommendations on strategic supply network projects that may involve crossfunctional groups and teams or engage with external vendors/suppliers. Ability to see beyond the basic project and provide strategic direction raise issues resolve conflicts are all part of this role. Assists with generating and issuing recurring reports and leading defined monthly accounting tasks. Reports could be used in senior or executive management meetings and reviews. Recommends and develops new reports as needed when new analysis is required. Gathers internal and external information to inform the strategic supply network planning process. Analyzes new business opportunities by gathering necessary data and building financial modelsAssists with data management / business intelligence maintaining updating upgrading or expanding the data tools used for analysis and projects. If needed identify new tools and work with team to incorporate them into the business.Key resource for Capital Planning system process and policiesSCOPE & IMPACT: The Finance and Accounting department supports the entire corporation. Analysts are likely to be individual contributors that work with team members across all levels of the organization to drive change and results. LaZBoy is in the midst of the largest capacity investment in our Supply Network in recent times and this role has a high level of influence for enabling the and optimizing future state.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field with 24 years of relevant experience or equivalent.Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Power Point Excel Word and AccessDemonstrated capability in handling highly complex analytical problems with ability to drive to insights and answers under deadlines. Possess strong analytical and organizational skills.Understanding of GAAP accounting principles.Up to 10 Travel Required. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience with a data analytics tool and ERP SystemsBasic knowledge of management strategies financial accounting supply chain and manufacturingProject management skills to drive change across organization and accomplish stated goals.Future geographic mobilitySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: nonePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment/no specific or unusual physical environmental demands.
