Job Description

Title: Sales Territory Manager (LA & MS)
Location: Baton Rouge LA (open to bordering areas)This role requires a motivated individual who is comfortable with frequent travel spending 75 or more of their time on the road as this territory covers two states.
Job Type: Fulltime
Salary Range: $65000 $90000 (Actual compensationwill be determined based on experience location and other factors permitted by law). Includes base and bonus.

About the Position:
Thisposition is responsible for the driving brand awareness and sales in a specified region and/or at specific retail partner locations. The Sales Territory Manager (Louisiana and Mississippi) is responsible for building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders of all levels within their designated territory leading educational and inspirational meetings and presentations and acting as a brand champion at our partners brick and mortar locations.

Customer satisfaction with the sell through of all product placements resulting insales goal achievement. The ideal candidatewill embrace the road warrior lifestyle with the flexibility and drive to travel extensively and build relationships with clients across the territory.


Whats Expected(include but not limited to):

  • Research network build and foster impactful relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within designated territories. This may include relationship building with:

o Business owners/Presidents/CEOs and other csuite executives

o Regional Operations Managers

o Learning & Development teams

o Merchandising and buying groups

o Store Management

o Retail Sales Associates

  • Develop and maintain the most uptodate product knowledge
  • Conduct highlevel marketing & sales presentations and/or seminars for various audiences at our retail partner locations or at BEDGEAR corporate locations
  • Conduct individual oneonone handson training sparring and coaching with RSA
  • Acts as a liaison between retail partners and BEDGEAR in new business opportunities and proposals; aids in the development of contract negotiations closes sales and assists with the development of marketing plans for designated accounts
  • Develops and increases sales revenue to achieve assigned targets
  • Checks on competitive activity and provides recommendations for improvement opportunities to maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace and within physical store locations
  • Participate as brand champion at company tradeshows and/or marketing events at request of management to promote awareness of company and products
  • Maintain call reports and provide performance feedback from stores
  • Provide visual merchandising compliance reports for store visits events etc. Includes but is not limited to:

o Take pictures of POP/Display items during instore visits

o Provide recommendations for merchandising opportunities

o Evaluate competition floor space compared to ours and provide insights to account management and sales managers

o Identify open spaces for marketing collateral opportunities; i.e. Blank walls for posters/banners windows for treatments etc

o Updating SharePoint with reports after store visits

  • Maintain a remote selfmaintained home office location for when not traveling on the road
  • Assist in additional duties as requested


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
  • English proficient (reading writing speaking comprehension)
  • Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid drivers license
  • Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Travel required at least 75 of time
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidays

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

  • 2 years marketing and/or sales experience (or combination of the two) with notable sales accomplishments
  • Home furnishings/retail mattress experience is highly preferred
  • Experience working remotely/autonomously at times
  • Proven ability to development meaningful relationships with key influencers
  • Experience delivering engaging and impactful marketing & sales presentations to groups of all sizes
