Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (w/afternoon off TBD)
**$5000.00 Sign On Bonus for External Candidates!
Responsibilities
We are seeking a caring nurse or medical assistant to join our team at Methodist Plaza Internal Med. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment. In our clinic you will play a crucial role in providing highquality healthcare services to our patients.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations procedures and treatments.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs medical histories and documenting information in electronic health records (EHR).
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections vaccinations and conducting lab tests.
- Conduct routine screenings including vision and hearing tests and measure patients height and weight.
- Provide patient education on preventive care chronic disease management and medication instructions.
- Coordinate patient referrals followup appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with clinic protocols regulatory standards and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Current Iowa License as an LPN/RN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
