As a Director of a software engineering group you will apply your knowledge of management software development methodologies best practices and proven processes to lead teams to deliver a quality software product on budget within planned schedule with superb quality.
The Imaging system software team is leading development of software on imaging scanning devices. As leader of platform program team you will be responsible for wingtowing of imaging platform programs to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers for the next generation software platform in line with the roadmap of the GE Healthcare Imaging business. The role requires to work closely with technical teams and other stakeholders to ensure outcomes are delivered on time within scope and budget and with desired quality. The leader ensures consistent project management practices across imaging platform areas are followed and improved as needed. This role requires a strategic understanding of the business customer/ patient needs product technology and the purpose & values of GE Healthcare to successfully deliver on the software function priorities.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Establish strategy and program plans for different platform teams towards seamless integration across different imaging teams. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary.
- Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership in specifying requirements.
- Define plan and approach based on project scope expected timeline and available budget/resources.
- Build strong team of technical program managers RTEs and coaching for exceptional performance.
- Work with technical team to coordinate daytoday as per outlined plan. Support team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.
- Manage project risks stakeholder communication and progress reporting.
- Interfacing with different teams within and outside of imaging.
- Assist with assessment of external contract professional service and solution provider partners.
- Stewardship of agile and extreme programming practices.
- Ensure quality of deliveries are verified as per stakeholder expectation and quality metrics are on track.
- Lead operational areas including finance & vendor PO tracking ensuring deliveries are done within allocated budget.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and drive alignment toward endresults.
- Continually evaluate industry software design development & testing standards & practices challenge the statusquo keeping high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
- Represent engineering team on different forums and in leadership updates.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master s degree in Engineering with minimum of 18 years of software design & development experience working with crossfunctional teams. People management experience if mandatory for this position.
Desired Characteristics:
- PMP or PMIACP certified. Experience in working with distributed teams and knowledge of multiple Agile Frameworks including SAFe Scrum Kanban XP or equivalent.
- Lead a team of program or project managers.
- Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements business demands and technical risks/issues.
- Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
- Attention to detail and ability work independently towards timely completion of a variety of assignments & develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
- Experience in Healthcare domainis added advantage.
- Knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements and practices in software.
- Enthusiastically follow technology trends software engineering best practice and technologies while enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems.
