Job Description

Position Summary
This position is tailored for a veterinarian who wishes to obtain the research and clinical training needed to pursue a career as a laboratory animal veterinarian. This is a 3year laboratory animal medicine training program that is an American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine ACLAM )recognized and approved training program.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and be a citizen or noncitizen resident of the United States have graduated from an AVMA accredited institution or successful completion of ECFVG certification program passed the NAVLE and able to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in at least one state of the United States. Must be able to obtain NC State License and USDA Accreditation within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Background with experiences showing a genuine interest in pursuing a career in laboratory animal/comparative medicine and/or research. General veterinary practice and/or internship experience with diverse species exposures (i.e. dogs pigs rabbits rodents).
