We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II internally referred to as our Radiology Tech II at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic Xray procedures. This involves operating Xray equipment to capture images of patients internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing highquality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
Shifts Available: Day Shift or PRN Variable
Employment Type: Full Time Part Time or Per Diem (PRN)
Shift Hours: 8 hour shift or 12 hour shift
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- perform Diagnostic Radiographic Cat Scan or other procedures according to department protocols while cross training as a CT Tech
- responsible for ensuring that Xray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards which may involve performing equipment checks calibrations and troubleshooting as needed
- interact with patients to explain procedures address concerns and ensure their comfort and safety during Xray examinations
- maintain accurate records of Xray procedures including patient information images and relevant medical history
- stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
- operate radiographic equipment to produce highquality images
- participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
- maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
- licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
- appropriate national certifications in two modalities
- current BCLS accredited by the AHA
- familiar with State and Federal regulations
- graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)
- proficient computer skills
- one year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
