A premier top 100 AmLaw firm is actively seeking a distinguished Equity Partner to initiate and lead the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Practice in Denver Colorado. This prestigious role is tailored for a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in corporate M&A a proven track record of building and managing successful teams and a strategic mindset for practice development in a cooperative and forwardthinking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Practice Launch and Leadership: Found and steer the Corporate M&A Practice setting strategic goals developing practice areas and cultivating client relationships. The Equity Partner will be tasked with drafting and executing business strategies to establish and grow the practice area in alignment with the firms overarching strategic objectives.
- Team Building and Management: Recruit mentor and lead a team of corporate attorneys specializing in M&A fostering a culture of excellence innovation and professional advancement. The role involves setting performance expectations managing team dynamics and promoting an inclusive and highperformance workplace culture.
- Client Representation: Provide expert legal counsel and representation in a wide array of corporate M&A transactions including advising on deal structuring negotiation due diligence and regulatory compliance. This entails direct involvement in significant negotiations strategizing for complex transactions and representing clients in both domestic and crossborder deals.
- Business Development: Propel the practices growth through strategic networking identifying new business opportunities and enhancing the firms reputation in the corporate M&A sphere. The Equity Partner will lead marketing efforts participate in thought leadership and engage in active client development and retention.
- Firm Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders of other practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal services ensuring the seamless integration of corporate M&A strategies with clients broader business objectives. As a senior member of the firms leadership team contribute to firmwide strategic planning policy development and decisionmaking processes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Colorado Bar.
- At least 10 years of significant experience in corporate M&A law with a robust track record of leading teams and managing a considerable portfolio of business.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing a practice area including strategic planning team building and business development.
- Outstanding legal skills particularly in negotiation transaction structuring and strategic planning with a history of achieving successful outcomes in complex M&A transactions.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills capable of nurturing strong relationships within the team across the firm and with clients and the broader business community.
