Job Description
Civil Engineer Land Development
Our organization is a consulting firm specializing in Civil Engineering Land Surveying and Wetland consulting serving Central and Eastern Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and support Land Development projects in these regions. This position is based in our Lunenburg office.
We are looking for candidates with a BS in Civil Engineering and while 2 years of land development and site design experience is preferred we are open to considering entrylevel as well as more experienced professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT Certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
- Experience with AutoCAD and HydroCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Expertise in AutoCAD and HydroCAD
- Experience in utility design grading and drainage design site plan and subdivision preparation
- Familiarity with Massachusetts Title 5 regulations the Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act and Massachusetts Stormwater Management Regulations
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to develop commercial site plans and residential subdivision plans
- Prepare application packages for submittals to local boards and commissions
- Perform drainage calculations and compile detailed reports
- Support the development of site designs that meet the needs of clients while adhering to local and state regulations
