We are currently seeking 5Temporary Summer Students to join our Operations Team at our Goderich Evaporation Plant in Goderich Ontario. Employment will be between May 5 to September 5 2025. Students must be enrolled in an accredited postsecondary education institution. Dates may vary based on school schedules.
The Goderich Evaporation Plant is proud to be one of Goderichs first employers tracing back to 1867. Currently the site employs 90 people producing an annual capacity of 140000 tons of evaporated food grade agricultural pool and watersoftening salt and additionally packages 100000 tons of rock salt serving customers throughout the Ontario Quebec and NorthernCentral United States regions.
Goderichis named Canadas Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8000 people located approximately 1 hour from London & Stratford Ontario and a 1 hour drive from KitchenerWaterloo.
How will you contribute to the team
- General labour (i.e. cleaning painting and janitorial duties)
- Operate packaging equipment
- Forklift and other heavy equipment operation
- Loading bulk trucks
- Dust collection duties
- Sanitation related inspections and cleaning
- Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Varied Shifts and hours will be required Days Afternoons Midnights.
You bring to the role:
- Minimum High School graduate by June 2025 and must be enrolled in an accredited postsecondary education institution. Proof of enrollment will be verified prior to an offer.
- Previous manufacturing/industrial equipment operation and material handling equipment operation is preferred
- Previous forklift experience is preferred
- Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Strong attention to detail
