Overview
Patient Care TechnicianYounker Rehabilitation Methodist
Shifts: Days; Full Time and Part Time
Nights; Full Time and Part Time
Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Younker Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services to the Des Moines area for over 60 years. We have 59 licensed beds with sister units located at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. We serve a diverse group of patients with diagnosis that include: strokes neurologic disorders amputees trauma oncology and patients needing rehabilitation after a major medical illness. All patients receive a minimum of three hours of therapy daily and 24 hour acute nursing and physician monitoring and management. We are CARF accredited and are passionate about getting our patients home and providing support and services needed for a safe and successful transition. Our multidisciplinary team provides an environment that allows for ongoing learning for both patients and staff making it a great fit for both experienced staff and team members who are just starting their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities
- PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including but not limited to activities of daily living mobility specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
- Possess the ability to lift move position and transport patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care patient and employee safety and customer service.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years old or older.
- Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification preferred. Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess 75 hour 120 hour or 150 hour).
- Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a postoffer preemployment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
