Job Description

Supplemental Information

Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Instructor (facetoface online dual enrollment) Art (appreciation/history and studio art) located in the Division of Liberal Arts. This is a parttime position and is open for recruitment.

REPORTS TO:
Fine Arts and Communication Department Chair

LOCATIONS:
MidCity campus Frazier site and/or online

COMPENSATION:
Salary: $2295 per 3hour credit course taught

Estimated Hours per Week: Fall/Spring/Summer

Dates/Times Day night and weekend classes; various times available

Required Education:

  • Studio Art Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A. or masters degree in studio art or any masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in studio art.
  • Art Appreciation/History Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A. or masters degree in art or art history or any masters degree with 18 graduate semester hours in art or art history.

Job Concepts

Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct Faculty may teach in the evening weekends online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Adjunct Faculty are expected to support the institutions mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and collegewide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct Faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions.
