Position OverviewHours: 4045 hours weekly minimum or as necessary to achieve program objective tasks activities responsibilities and to effectively document outcome measures and variations.Summary Description: The Grants and Compliance Director is primarily responsible for 1 areas of contract compliance and records management. This includes but is not limited to government contracts United Way and private and corporate foundations. 2 research and prepare contract renewals with the oversight of the DD for successful retention of funding; attend contract workshops; prepare for successful site visits and monitoring/audits 3 develop and keep current the agencys internal service delivery documentation and procedures to ensure effective service data entry related reporting and monitoring; includes software programs (OSNIUM) being utilized to the highest capacity; 4 responsible for teaching and coaching employees on compliance procedures and forms and working with executive leadership to achieve effective results; serve as the direct supervisor of Compliance Manager. 5 Leads the Continuous Quality Improvement Team concerning agencywide engagement in meeting and managing various grant related outcomes. 6 Act as a part of the agencys executive management team conducts regular interaction with program directors. 7 The position also requires a high level of confidentiality an above average level of flexibility dependability sound judgment and creative thinking. 8 Oversee and make decisions regarding agency technology needs. 9 Supervise vendors regarding technological services. 10 Make recommendations that impact on the agencys budget. 11 Initiates applications for new state and federal funding opportunities to address agencys needs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSystems- Develop and monitor agencywide systems to ensure all aspects of contract compliance are adhered to
Contract Monitoring and Compliance
- Responsible for monitoring all contracts
- Monitors contract schedules to make sure all deadlines are met on or before the deadlines
- Responsible for the organization and maintenance of all contract files and data systems
- Corresponds with grantors and followsup as requested
Annual Audit and Monitoring Visits
- Manages and prepares for contract monitoring visits; prepares and engages staff
- Ensures Grant Drive is consistently current on all contract activities
- Prepares an annual schedule of federal awards and other schedules.
Budgeting Monthly Billings and Reports
- Verifies accuracy in expenses allocated to grants assigned for monthly invoicing.
- Prepares required performance grant reports on all contracts
Inventory
- Records tags monitors and oversees periodic inventory of property/equipment purchased with government funds following procedures outlined in the contracts
Procurement and Purchases with contract/grant funds
- Develops oversees and monitors systems to ensure procurement and purchase order procedures are followed and all documentation is submitted and filed
Other duties as assigned- Represents BATP in financial meetings with funding entities as assigned
- Assists with Hotline
- Perform other tasks as requested
Education and Other RequirementsMinimum EducationMinimum Skills and Experience- 3 5 years of successful progressive experience in government grant compliance nonprofit experience preferred
- Demonstrated competency in decision making and problem solving with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in dealing with new problems and changing circumstances
- Planning and preparation in advance to avoid potential problems must be organized
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to organize work handle multiple priorities and work in a high pressured environment
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Technical and creative writing skills that easily relays the message to the reader
- Salesmanship ability to engage funders that results in approved proposals
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word Access software applications
- Working knowledge of computer software programs Quick Books accounting software preferred and the ability to learn new programs

- Physical exertion includes bending pushing standing and walking. Must be able to move or

- Skill in use of computer screens and manual dexterity and skill in use of keyboard
