The Work:
The internship will provide the successful candidates with the opportunity to conduct meaningful research and gain valuable industry experience. The intern will work within a designated business group supporting research initiatives and having other responsibilities aligned with the teams goals.
The Core Responsibilities Of The Job:
- Research meaningful Reconciliation opportunities: everything from existing examples to ones you would wish would happen that dont exist elsewhere!
- Research ways for Equitable Bank to expand upon existing Indigenous procurement
- Draw on lived experiences to bring awareness to issues impacting Indigenous communities
- Work collectively with peer Indigenous Interns
- Develop and deliver a final paper/report with findings and recommendations
- Support business group initiatives and assist with daytoday operations as required
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Participate in meetings and contribute insights relevant to the teams objectives
- Support additional administrative or projectbased tasks as needed
Lets Talk About You!
- Must be an Indigenous student currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college university or equivalent program
- Business and financial knowledge is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and review ones own work
- Ability to source research ethically and ensure proper citation practices

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Banks additional office space located at 351 King Street East Toronto ON.
