- You work closely with the ophthalmologist; you anticipate their actions while following protocols.
- You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention.
- You are the person the surgeon relies on to prepare the room and its tools before the procedure.
- You will become a specialist in the tools and technologies used in intraocular procedures.
- You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
- You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.
- You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
- You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
- You have a definite interest in the field of health and hightech devices.
- You are comfortable with computers technology and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
- Your experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset Optometric Assistant Orderly Dental Assistant Pharmacy Lab Technician Sterilization Assistant Animal Health Technician Veterinary Assistant Medical Device Reprocessing Technician etc..
- You have excellent communication skills in English
- Schedule: You have flexible availability Monday through Friday with some weekends as needed (based on the surgical schedule).
- Required: You can travel between our LASIK MD TLC & Gimbel Eye Centre clinics in Calgary for training and work.
