Position Description
Join Serco as a Hazardous Materials Driver in Indianapolis IN! This is a parttime position (approximately 20 hrs/wk).
Serco supports a large utility fleet operation diagnosing and repairing light medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and other utility fleet equipment. Schedule will be full time Monday through Friday and the position is overtime eligible.
This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history & drivers license check and drug screen.
In this role you will:
- Be responsible for fueling approximately 160 diesel trucks Monday Friday out of a customersupplied fuel truck.
- Operate automotive & diesel vehicles and construction and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair medium and heavyduty trucks as well as aerial equipment.
- Inspect diagnose and repair bucket truck and digger derrick hydraulic systems
- Perform engine electrical and drivability diagnostics/repair.
- Perform DOT inspections and manufacturer suggested servicing
- Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems
- Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
- Be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing work derived from driver reports.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Valid drivers license with good driving record.
- Customer focused strong work ethic and positive.
- Be a safety oriented individual.
- Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Class B CDL with a hazmat endorsement is preferred
