Job Description

The Extruder Operator will be working with others making sure the machine is running properly and maintaining that the product is coming out within tolerance of the spec. and all duties are performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute measuring the final product and recording it on sheet that need to be maintain at all times.
- Cycle counts each month in the warehouse to ensure that the ERP system is accurate.
- Making sure items coming in are place in the right area.
- Do a minimum three safety observation per month.
- Oversee and ensure all the fork trucks are being maintained.
- Check the dailys on each fork truck is being done and checked by the person that is assigned to it.
- Promptly respond and notify the Operations Manager if any safety concerns arise.
- Perform all aspects of the Monostrand area primarily near the extruder machine.
- Conduct daily maintenance shop housekeeping is in compliant of safety standards.
- Follow lead demonstrate and adhere to safety and quality principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required.
COMPETENCIES
- Experience with Forklift.
- Flexibility in schedule; ability to work overtime depending upon business needs.
- Ability to exhibit basic skills read write and speak English.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- A proactive honest and selfreliant personality critical thinking pragmatic and effective communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Required to adhere to all physical requirements involving being able to lift and/or move up to seventy pounds and working at heights above eight feet.
