As a member of the Legal team the Corporate CounselEmployment and Litigation (CC) is a core member of UL Solutions legal function. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel Litigation and Disputes (ACG) the CC will work closely with Human Resources (HR) and with other business leaders to coordinate and assist on the following matters within the Chief Legal Office (CLO).
Responsibilities- Advise HR and relevant business stakeholders on daytoday employee related matters including performance management discipline termination investigations pertaining to allegations of harassment and discrimination employee agreements workplace safety wage and overtime standards privacy rights and employee benefits.
- Assist in the coordination of legal advice to HR and relevant business stakeholders on employment related laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act Family Medical Leave Act Americans with Disabilities Act Age Discrimination in Employment Act National Labor Relations Act Occupation Health and Safety Act state workers compensation laws and related laws.
- Manage global docket of potential and active employment related litigation and administrative agency matters.
- Support the preparation of company staff for legal proceedings including depositions and trial and represent the company at hearings trials mediations arbitrations and depositions.
- Coordinate management of external counsel as necessary in a costeffective manner and in accordance with CLO Billing guidelines.
- Coordinate thirdparty vendors retained by UL Solutions on any litigation or dispute matters.
- Perform other duties as directed by the ACG or other CLO leadership.

Qualifications- JD degree and a minimum of 35 years relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Bar admission in good standing.
- Indepth knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment provide guidance and make key decisions in a demanding and fastpaced environment
- Ability to contribute as a team player and work collaboratively with colleagues clients and business leaders to fulfill and advance company strategy.
- Ability to multitask and organize workflow independently in response to the companys strategic priorities and objectives.
- Willingness to travel on a limited basis.
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimatedsalary range for this position is $150000 to 165000 and is based on multiple factors including jobrelated knowledge/skills experience geographical location as well as other factors.This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20 of the base salary.
