Job Description
Overview:
Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection insurance eligibility driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Childrens Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Job Description:
- Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental inservice training programs to enhance professional development including participation in EBP.
- Conducts Physical Therapy educational programs for hospital staff students and community. Delegates to students from accredited programs licensed physical therapist assistants and unlicensed personnel supervising care provided.
- Develops and administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development function and independence. Utilizes developmental activities modalities and other treatment techniques to meet each patients specific needs and achieve therapy goals observes and modifies treatment plan accordingly.
- Documents as appropriate and in compliance with requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations. Maintains the administrative functions of individual caseload including scheduling entering daily charges and submitting timely documentation.
- Educates on treatment goals and therapy plans instructs on therapeutic activities to follow at home and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding.
- Evaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations. Identifies patients strengths and deficits establishes goals and develops an individualized treatment plan.
- Fabricates recommends or provides adaptive equipment splints or casts to maintain functional body joint positions restrict muscle contractures prevent deformities and improve function or mobility. Fits patient and instructs on use of item.
Education Requirement:
Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy required.
Licensure Requirement:
State of Ohio licensure in physical therapy required.
Certifications:
CPR certification no later than 60 days post hire or post expiration required.

One year of physical therapy work experience in a pediatric setting or clinical affiliation in area of pediatrics preferred.
