GHD is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Engineer to work with our EHS Compliance team on providing environmental consulting services to various industrial clients across the region.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Permit application development (e.g. air emissions storm water discharges wastewater discharges etc.
  • Environmental plan development and updates such as Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans (HWCPs)
  • Environmental compliance reporting such as air emissions reporting hazardous waste generator reporting and Emergency Planning Community RighttoKnow Act (EPCRA) reporting (i.e. Tier II and Form R)
  • Conduct facility and site visits to gather information for written project work
  • Write technical reports and support development of client proposals
  • Comprehend and interpret regulations and guidelines

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or similar field of study
  • 02 years of experience with some knowledge of environmental regulations affecting industry preferred but not required
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
  • Ability to perform field work and travel overnight
  • Strong written and technical writing skills
