Job Description
United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) is Americas #1 mortgage lender and were looking to fill an immediate need for underwriters.

- This is an 8hour shift MondayFriday
- This position requires 100 fulltime onsite attendance located in Pontiac MI
- This role does not provide immigration sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Collect review and examine an applicants financial history and records
- Perform risk assessment reports
- Analyze clients financial statements and identify effective alternatives to application
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to investor guidelines state and federal underwriting lending policies and the required documentation
- Keep up with changes and adaptations as they occur
- Provide elite service to internal and external clients
- Communicate with clients via email and over the phone on loan status which includes Mortgage Loan Officers and Broker Owners
- Manage multiple priorities while building rapport with clients
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Completed 2 or 4year degree
- Complex rationale and problemsolving skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and other internet resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn and be coached
- Adaptable to a flexible fastchanging industry
- Selfmotivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to take accountability for actions
- Preferred experience in Finance and/or Accounting (financial analysis accounts receivable and accounts payable)
