Position Purpose:

The Interconnected Finance team provides financial leadership direction and analysis to the Online management team responsible for growing Home Depots digital business. With an analyticsfirst approach the team provides visibility and insights into HD sales & margin trends creates financial expressions of various online growth initiatives and monitors the competitive landscape.

The Manager of Interconnected Finance & Strategy will be expected to provide financial leadership as a key partner to our Interconnected & Online Strategy teams. Specifically this individual will be responsible for creating and tracking financial expressions of various onlinedriven growth initiatives working crossfunctionally across Finance and the business in addition to quarterly executive reporting. As a member of the strategic leadership team for the function the leader of Finance will play a key role in driving functional metrics controlling costs and work closely with finance leadership in order to achieve business goals and create shareholder value.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures of department objectives. Participates in preparation of the annual budget reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met.

  • Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Leads plans and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.

  • Drive key functional financial metrics.

  • Project Management Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in crossfunctional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates crossfunctional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance Human Resources Real Estate Operations and Information Systems.


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Typically reports to a Director level

  • This position has no direct reports.


Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel 5 to 20 of the time.


Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in retail investment banking private equity and/or corporate strategy

  • High degree of drive and personal ownership

  • MBA

  • The knowledge skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelors degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
