Director of LTSS Provider Relations

Preferred Location: Ohio. This position is hybrid and will require the associate to report to 1 of the 4 Ohio office locations at least 12 times per week. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations within the state of Ohio.

The MyCare Ohio health plan is to deliver highquality trauma informed culturally competent personcentered coordination for all members that addresses physical health behavioral health long term services and supports and psychosocial needs.

The Director of LTSS (LongTerm Support Services) Provider Relations will be responsible for spearheading the development and maintenance of the LTSS provider network ensuring robust network demographics and leading the provider relations (PR) teams. This role will focus on fostering strong partnerships and efficient operations within the LTSS provider spectrum ensuring that all activities align with business objectives and enhance the overall networks effectiveness (internal company title is Director Network Relations

How will you make an impact:

  • Develops and implements strategic business plan for all aspects of PN (Provider Network) Operations.
  • Ensures the LTSS provider network has the resources tools and supports necessary to deliver highquality care to members.
  • Participates and supports network development strategies with management staff of each regional market.
  • Leads/manages process redesign.
  • Manages departmental operations and ensures the timely establishment and maintenance of provider files.
  • Manages web development and content of webbased provider directories.
  • Determines resource needs and develops cost estimates for executive management.
  • Hires trains coaches counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in business or related health field and a minimum of 7 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Applicants with proven expertise in provider contract interpretation and negotiation are strongly preferred.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in leading and managing large teams.
  • Experience interfacing and partnering across all lines of businesses.
  • LTSS Provider experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level is preferred.
