Primary Purpose
The Parttime Instructor provides instruction to students in Human Anatomy & Physiology classes directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Teaching assignments may be during the day (including early morning) evening or weekend and could include classes taught at any of the College campuses online or remotely. Provide instruction in Human anatomy and Physiology course specifically BI. (Course Outlines: BI 231 BI 232 BI 233 using approved course outcome guides. Teaching assignments anticipated to be online classes during Winter and Spring terms. Teaching assignments may be during the day (including early morning) evening or weekend and could include classes taught at any of the College campuses online or remotely. Hold at least one scheduled office hour per class per week for student help sessions and program assistance. Supervise proctored exam sessions with other Human Anatomy and Physiology Instructors. Utilize College tools and resources including the Learning Management System and Disability Services software to support teaching activities as appropriate. Participate in course assessment. Perform other essential job functions as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
Minimum Requirements
Masters degree in Biology Exercise or Human Physiology or closely related field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching or evidence for the potential for excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience relevant to lower division college Biology courses.
