SCHEDULE:5:00pm to 10:00pm Monday Thursday during the Fall and Spring semesters. Hours can be adjusted during holidays and summers.

GENERAL PURPOSE
To complete a wide range of laboratory preparations and procedures to support faculty within a professional environment and maintain confidentiality in departmental matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with maintenance of the Biological Preparations Rooms. Work with departmental faculty to maintain safety standards and cleanliness of biology laboratories.
- Prepare stock solutions for weekly biology laboratory exercises and student use. Ensure that experiments will work as expected. Set up and take down of material daily for all Biology laboratory courses. Put apparatus and equipment away when classes are finished. Make sure that equipment is working properly.
- Assist with ordering of supplies for BIOand other upperlevel courses as needed. Assist faculty teaching BIO 4800 BIO 4801 in receipt and proper storage of research course supplies the preparation of media chemicals equipment etc. and other tasks as deemed necessary.
- Compile and maintain computerbased inventory list of biological specimens chemicals and equipment used for Biology laboratories. Update MSDS books as needed.
- Waste collection and cleaning of glassware and other apparatus.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree (Biology)
- 1 to 3 years of workrelated experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word)
- Quartzty Online Lab Management System
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
- Daily contact requiring courtesy discretion and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge skills and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $18 to $21/hour. This hiring hourly pay range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
