Job Duties:-
initiates animal tissue dissection and grossing; conducts tissue processing embedding and staining maintains orderly storage systems for paraffin blocks frozen blocks and finished slides; maintains the inventory of supplies in pathology; maintains supplies of fixatives solvents materials and other supplies for preservation and processing of tissues into completed routine slides; prepares maintains and files lab records observations and worksheets; assists in specimen receiving preparation and examination; updating or retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement:
Histo technician (HT) or Histo technologist (HTL) certification or eligibility for certification issued by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
