Job Description
- Minimum recommended hand tools for Class III Mechanic
- High school graduate or equivalent education training and experience
- Ideally have previous fleet experience and are familiar with diesel and gasoline systems
- Must pass DOT preemployment Physical drug screen and background check
- A minimum of 13 years truck or automotive repair experience
- ASE Certification desirable but not required
- Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred) **Company has a free CDL training program for mechanics.
- Provides support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians (e.g. vehicle washing vehicle or facility cleaning vehicle fueling facility maintenance and repair etc. in accordance with established schedules.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to the attention of supervisor.
- Records time and materials used for each assignment.
- Provides automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned.
