Position Description: The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a collaborative physicianleader to serve as Chief of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesiology within the Department of Anesthesiology. Position Summary The Division Director of Obstetrics will oversee all anesthesia services within the Division of Obstetric Anesthesiology to ensure the delivery of consistent highquality care to patients. The incumbent will have a proven track record as a strategic and accomplished leader who is wellversed in best practices. The Division Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology will continue strengthening the clinical services at the Froedtert Birth Center and contribute to advancing obstetric anesthesiology in patient care education and research. Responsibilities Characteristics and Competencies AboutMedical College of Wisconsin: The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a private academic institution dedicated to leadership and excellence. In 2017 MCW had approximately 850 students in Medical School nearly 400 graduate students and 160 postdoctoral fellows in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. There are more than 670 physicians in residency training and 180 physicians in fellowship training. MCW is the largest research institution in eastern Wisconsin with $154 million in grant awards for research teaching training and related purposes in FYof which $138 million was for researching including funding from the National Institute of Health and other sponsors.
