Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will be designing and building advanced UIs for timeseries analysis highfrequency data visualization and complex event interactions. This role is foundational to how traders experience and interact with realtime intelligence across Zaps platform. It is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of realtime systems highdensity visualizations and precision user interfaces.
Please notethis role is hybridcandidates must be able to work from our office in Athens Greece.
Key Responsibilities
- Build highperformance web apps using Next.js React and TypeScript
- Implement and manage realtime data flows using WebSockets
- Prototype UI/UX flows in Figma before implementation
- Develop scalable performant components for financial and timeseries data
- Design and implement highdensity data tables and interactive visualizations for multidimensional data analysis
- Deliver responsive and optimized UIs that handle highthroughput streaming data with minimal latency
- Lead frontend architectural decisions and guide longterm technical direction of the UI layer
Requirements
Must have
- 35 years of experience in productiongrade frontend development
- Deep experience with Next.js including SSR/SSG/ISR
- Strong proficiency in React TypeScript and TailwindCSS
- Direct experience integrating WebSocketbased realtime data feeds
- Ability to design and prototype in Figma
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Nicetohaves
- Experience with financial charting using Lightweight Charts (TradingView)
- Familiarity with animation libraries like Framer Motion
- Prior experience working with Playwright or Cypress for E2E testing
- Experience profiling and optimizing React render performance using tools like React Profiler and flame graphs
- Background working with quantitative trading fintech or data analytics platforms
