Job Description
HIRING MANAGER: Brandon Hall
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Theresponsibilities involve safety and maintenance grain handling customer service and other duties as assigned by a supervisor operations manager or management.
SAFETY & MAINTENANCE
Observe Prairie Central Cooperative OSHA state and federal Safety policies and regulations
Maintain equipment and facilities regularly
Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards
Grain Handling
- Handle incoming binned and outgoing grain
- Prepare and load truck and railcars in approved manner
- Bin grain to maintain condition and in anticipation of handling blending & loading out shipments
- Gain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery
- Maintain grain quality
- Make periodic inspections of all stored grain
- Make recommendations to elevator supervisor when necessary to improve the grain handling operation and to provide better service for customers
Customer Service
- Greet customers promptly & courteously
- Assist customers with unloading & loading
- Actively work to increase personal skills and knowledge
Other Duties
- The elevator will uphold cooperative policies and perform other duties as assigned.
- Uphold all cooperative policies
- Perform duties as requested by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED
- Be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Frequently exposed to dust and high noise levels.
- Must be able to climb and work at heights enter confined spaces and ability to lift 50pounds
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work hours beyond those considered normal
