Title: Summer Events Team Intern
Reports to: Events Coordinator
Location: Vancouver BC
Contract Length: May 1 2025 to August 30 2025 (option to start earlier if available)
Hours: 40 hours/week weekends and evenings as needed
Compensation: $41600 per annum

/Slappys are seeking hardworking energetic and outgoing individuals to join the Summer Sampling & Events Team. As the brands frontliners the Sampling & Events Team plays a pivotal role in promoting our exciting new product lineup by driving trial and creating memorable brand experiences at various field marketing events and activations. Job Responsibilities:
- Be the face of the brand and engage with consumers at a range of XM activations and events including concerts festivals golf tournaments private gatherings street samplings and more
- Drive trial of our beverage portfolio and new products launching in 2025 to help hit key sampling targets and promote innovation SKUs.
- Assist with the preparation set up and tear down of events and activations which includes regularly lifting items that can be 25 lbs
- Create weekly pre and postevent reports to track sampling numbers consumer feedback and event recaps
Job Requirements:
- You are willing to work a flexible working schedule including weekends holidays evenings with light travel
- You have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
- Able to lift stack and carry up to 25lbs of product at a time loading pallets and trucks
- Comfortable being on your feet for long periods of time
- You have your Serve it Right Certification
- You are 19 years of age or older
- Previous work experience in XM/events serving bartending and/or customer service is an asset
Schedule:
Per your seasonal contract you will be required to work evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of events every week will look different and the majority of your working hours may not fall on the same days each week. Although this is not your typical 95 job you will gain first hand experience working for Canadas fastest growing beverage alcohol company. Shifts may require light travel throughout BC company vehicles will be provided for this purpose.
Important Note: This position offers valuable handson experience in the marketing and events industry but will require you to perform some physical labor as detailed above.
