Job Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a physician of unique vision enthusiasm and experience as Vice Chair of Education Department of Medicine. The ideal candidate for the leadership role is an academic physician with expertise in medical education with strong backgrounds in program building curricular design and a deep understanding of ACGME requirements and objectives. This leader will drive improvement informed by goals established by the Department of Medicine University of Colorado School of Medicine to fulfill the departments mission to be a leader in delivering high quality medical education across multiple campuses. The primary responsibility of the Vice Chair for Education is to oversee the complex educational mission of the Department including the coordination of faculty and trainees involved in that mission. This oversight includes educational initiatives across the spectrum of activities related to undergraduate medical education (UME) graduate medical education (GME) at both residency and fellowship levels and professional development such as continuing medical education (CME) and other faculty development programs. The Vice Chair is also responsible for several major conference initiatives annually including scheduling and coordinating Medical Grand Rounds. Finally the Vice Chair of Education is responsible for all educational grant programs run through the DOM including the facultyfocused Program for the Advancement of Clinician Educators (PACE) as well as the fellowfocused Medical Educators grants. The Vice Chair must exhibit the qualities required to be a successful and compassionate leader in a complex matrixed environment including working collaboratively across various organizations

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range or hiring range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Associate Professor: $229000$per year
Professor: $250000 $315000 per year
The above salary range or hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is nonexempt.
