Collins Aerospace is growing the Product Health Excellence organization and is looking for an Engineer who is ready to own and drive the Engineering Product Health & Cost organization (PH&C) for the Mechanical Power Conversion (MPC) a part of Engine Control Systems (ECS) in our Power and Controls (P&C) SBU. This role will support cost reduction work and addressing product design issues impacting operations.This role will also support new product introduction ensuring new designs are manufacturable and machinable to the lowest cost possible.
What You Will Do
- Leading and ensuring Design for Manufacturability & Assembly during the proposal and product definition phase of design. This includes following the Design To Cost Standard work.
- Supporting LRU/Part Cost reduction projects on products in the Produce to Deliver phase.
- Work with Industrial Engineering (for make parts) and Supply chain (for purchase parts) on annual standards reviews
- Global OPS and Supply Chain process change review and approval.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with product cost and business case modeling
- Experience in cost reduction leadership
- Experience with team management and leadership in the successful completion of major projects
- Experience in design of complex mechanical componentry
- Experience in Producibility Engineering or detailed exposure to Design for Manufacturability & Assembly processes and activity
- An understanding and interest in the latest trends in manufacturing technology
- Experience with procurement/planning processes
- Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
