The Opportunity:
We are looking for a pediatric hospitalist to join our team at a community hospital in Fairbanks Alaska. Waitkeep reading! We are a supportive tightknit group of pediatricians with a collaborative weve got your back approach. Were seeking the right fit to help care for the infants and children who need hospital services in our community.
- BC/BE in general pediatrics plus PALS/NRP needed
- Approximately 1100 deliveries/year with peds in attendance at highrisk deliveries
- 24/7 inhouse coverage divided amongst our team in 12/24 hours shifts with flexibility in scheduling
- Hospital areas covered: Newborn Nursery Level 2 NICU High risk deliveries Pediatrics ED/Surgery consults Stabilization of critically ill infants/children prior to transport
- Attending Physician for intermittent rotating pediatric residents and medical students
Medical Community Details:
- 152 bed community owned hospital with catchment of approximately 100000 people
- 11 bed pediatrics unit
- 12 bed level 2 nursery
- 1100 deliveries per year
- Pediatric subspecialists not in community but assist by phone
- Closest PICU in Anchorage 1 hour away by plane)
- Seattle Childrens HospitalAlaska Track pediatric resident site

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where he/she practices.
Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number.
Must apply for and maintain Medical Staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by Physicians employment agreement. Requires commitment to healthcare and concern for people in distress critical listening skills and ability to communicate clearly desire to work with all types of people and work as a team member and excellent interpersonal skills. Able to meet desired business outcomes while maintaining quality of care. Must be willing to update skills constantly.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
