Gundersen Health System is seeking a parttime Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join our highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team as we provide excellent quality care to over 68000 patients of all ages annually.
What Youll Do:
As an Emergency Department Technician/EMT you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our patients in a safe environment promoting longterm recovery. In this department Emergency Department Technicians are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers RNs Paramedics Emergency Department Technicians Respiratory Therapists Health Unit Coordinators and Social Workers.
Emergency Services a Level II ACSverified Trauma Center is a highenergy patientcentered environment providing excellent quality care to over 68000 patients of all ages annually. This department consists of 45 total patient exam rooms including ten Urgent Care rooms five resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms and three dedicated Behavioral Health rooms. Patients have 24hour access to laboratory Xray and surgical services. We are also a Stroke Center with 24/7 neurointerventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. Emergency Services is recognized and acknowledged for excellence throughout the department through metrics and patient experience that is difficult to find anywhere else in the nation. In 2023 we also were an Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Lantern Award recipient.
Whats Available:
Parttime 56 hours biweekly 0.7 FTE).Will orientate/train as close to fulltime as possible
8hr evening shifts 3p11p) with every other weekend/holiday rotation
Starting pay of $18.31 per hour and up based on your years of experience with generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials
What Youll Need:
High School Diploma or equivalency
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Basic (NREMT) or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NREMTP) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMTB)
Current InfantAdult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
Prior work experience in an emergency or prehospital setting is strongly preferred
