Job Description
We are looking for a warm patient and reliable companion for a sociable and independent lady in her 80s who has impaired vision and can no longer drive. She enjoys engaging conversations social outings and staying active in her community.
About the Role:
This role involves providing companionship assisting with daytoday activities and offering support with transportation when needed. Travel between Hermanus and Cape Town CBD may be required as she spends time in both locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing friendly companionship and engaging conversation
- Assisting with transportation to social activities appointments and errands
- Helping with reading letters and using technology (audiobooks phone calls etc.
- Encouraging an active and fulfilling lifestyle
Ideal Candidate:
- Kind patient and sociable with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable driving and assisting with transport travel between Hermanus and Cape Town CBD may be necessary
- Reliable trustworthy and adaptable
- Experience with elderly companionship is a plus
