Woodland Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates to fill parttime faculty (Adjunct) teaching positions. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college. Prospective applicants can expect to be contacted and hired throughout the year in response to the institutions specific instructional requirements. The adjunct pools remain open yearround and are routinely refreshed every two years to ensure an updated and dynamic group of potential educators. BASIC FUNCTION : Develop and deliver instructional lectures for baking courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of baking classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning (interactive television online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department division and collegewide initiatives and committees if desired Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly Respond to student communication in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate by the final filing date must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors: Any associate degree and six years of fulltime occupational experience in the related field OR Any bachelors degree and two years of fulltime occupational experience in the related field OR The equivalent OR Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area. Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler Manager and Responsible Alcohol Certification Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service EQUIVALENCY : Applicants must meet YCCD minimum qualifications by the filing date or have been awarded equivalency by the District prior to the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
