Rivers Edge Group Homeis a therapeutic group home located inThompson CT on the border of JRIs Susan Wayne Center of Excellence. The program serves adolescent girls ages 13 20 who often present with concurrent behavioral mental health and cognitive challenges.
We are seekingRelief Residential Counselorsto effectively support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges. Our residential counselors are passionate about learning effective skills to better serve these young adults display creative engagement tactics and provide a safe environment for them to be successful. We take pride in our ability to maintain the consistent structured routines of the program while also providing safety and regulation through twentyfour hour supervision and direct care.
Schedule:Parttime Per Diem
Salary:$18.00/hr
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us there are times where overtime may be mandated.
What Youll Do:
- Perform direct care responsibilities within the group home.
- Direct supervision of students within the group home while maintaining the safety and security procedures as outlined by agency and program policy and procedures.
- Lead by example and role model for all staff and students appropriate professional behavior within a group home setting. Handle special projects as assigned by the Administrative Team or designee.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must have High School Diploma. Some college education preferred.
- Experience is a group home residential program or mental health facility preferred.
- Valid Drivers License.
- At JRI you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal deescalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
