BASIC FUNCTION:
The San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Class 2 Construction Inspectorto perform continuous inspection of school construction projects to ensure compliance with plans specifications and contract documents.
There is currently one 1 fulltime vacancy at the Construction Management Department of the Facilities Planning Division.- Location: 4860 Ruffner Street San Diego CA 92111
- Scheduled for 40 hours per week 12 months per year.
- Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employees and eligible dependents.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training experience and/or education equivalent to six years of fulltime paid experience in the general construction field three years of which must have been in inspection of school hospital or equivalent building construction.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California drivers license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).
Current Class 2 certification by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).
Note: Familiarity with related computer software such as Microsoft Office Bluebeam and Primavera Unifier is desirable.
**An incumbent in the job class of Class 2 Construction Inspector may be promoted to the next higher classification of Class 1 Construction Inspector upon certification by the department that the incumbent meets the minimum qualifications for the higher classification.Supplemental Information
