Project Manager
Are you a highly experienced and passionate Project Manager with a strong background in construction and refurbishment work We are looking for an experienced professional to join our clients Peterborough Branch.
You will beoverseeing the entire project this crucial role involves working closely with the Works Department team to ensure communication compliance and high standards are always a priority. The Project Manager will ensure that the allocated projects run efficiently and profitably.
Job Responsibilities
As the Project Manager you will be:
- Responsible for all allocated projects and their efficient running profit and full compliance to Health and Safety legislation
- Competent in the understanding of the contract design and construction drawings
- Managing specialist domestic and nominated subcontractors
- Enforcing monitoring and keeping up to date with Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site
- Attending regular site meetings with clients and other professionals
- Preparing contactors reports for site meetings contract programmes and progress reports
- Pricing and agreeing instructions with the client or their agent
- Formulating valuations and final accounts
- Preparing tender/estimates and assisting the Estimator in the preparation of tenders/estimates
- Overseeing managing and training of Trainee Project Managers Assistant Project Managers Site Managers/Supervisors and direct trade operatives
- Monitoring and reporting on job profitability
- Checking and authorising purchase invoices
Person Specification
- Construction related qualification i.e. Bsc in Construction Management HNC/HND
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS or SSSTS)
- Proven and recent experience as a Project Manager within a construction environment
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Competent in the use of a range of IT packages
- Proficient in Health & Safety legislation and compliance
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
- You must hold a full current UK driving licence and have had 6 months driving experience since passing your test
- Successful applicants are required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check MOJ CTC clearance MOD vetting clearance and enhanced police clearance
Hours of Work Pay and Benefits
- Up to 48500

- This is a fulltime position and hours of work will be 42 hours per week (flexibility will be required):
- Monday to Thursday 07:45 to 17:15
- Friday 07:45 to 16:45
