Job Description
Seeking a motivated secondyear masterslevel student desiring to further engage in their own learning process. This is an unpaid opportunity for students who are currently enrolled in a graduatelevel program for social work counseling or a related field and have preferably completed a certified 40hour domestic violence training. The intern will receive regular individual supervision while conducting developmental assessments and completing family psychosocial histories.
Internship Highlights
1. Conducts developmental assessments completes family psychosocial histories and provides family therapy as well as individual therapy to children and adults all under individual supervision.
2.Contributes thoughtful reflection to their own clinical work presenting and responding to challenging and difficult clinical cases and issues.
3. Designs and implements at least one public education presentation for parents community members or professionals who work with young children.
4. Participates in Casa Central Safe Start Coalition activities including quarterly meetings trainings and outreach activities.
5. Engages in other projects as coordinated with intern and VPI Program Director.
