About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and detailoriented Staff Accountant to join our team! This is a great opportunity to grow your career with a leading company in the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with a strong aptitude for working in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment within the renewable energy sector. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities including project management financial reporting contractual compliance and risk management supporting the daytoday operations of our solar energy assets.
Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
- Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable of all portfolios under management.
- Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets.
- Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing.
- Preparation of monthly management reports including Budget vs. Actual variance reports of portfolios under management and providing followup of significant variances.
- Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements to various parties.
- Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements.
- Contribute to the Company special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting from an accredited fouryear institution with 2 years of relevant experience; CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry or real estate accounting is a plus.
- Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across all levels and functions of the organization as well as with external stakeholders.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently in a fastpaced teamoriented and entrepreneurial environment.
- Skilled in multitasking and managing complex assignments efficiently.
- Projectdriven mindset with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint).
