Role overview:

We are seeking a Data Software Engineer with 5 years of experience to develop and support the delivery of technical solutions to ensure that the platform continues to meet the needs of Finance globally. In this role you will be working on a devops engineering team developing and supporting a core financial platform in a fastpaced 24x7 cloudbased production environment. You will be interacting with other data engineers within the FMA platform business customers and stakeholders and other technical teams supporting this function. In additional to technical skills and experience communication is also a key success factor in this role.

The SIE IT Corporate Applications department implements enhances and supports products and services that underpin PlayStations business operations. The Financial Management Application (FMA) is a strategic solution in this space delivering transactionalbased data to core financial systems throughout SIE.

What you will be doing:

Helping to develop and support the FMA financial platform capabilities that underpin complex Finance accounting processes by:

• Participating in the 24x7 production support of a finance technology stack in an AWS cloud environment to support PlayStations operational excellence.
• Support business critical jobs including successful processing over monthly accounting close.
• Participate in operations team to monitor system alerts; respond to job failures and work on all issues which impact finance systems stakeholders.
• Deliver root cause analysis for difficult and complex issues faced by the finance systems team.
• Analyze transaction level detail to uncover processing gaps and respond to complex queries from finance tax and compliance departments.
• Develop custom reports for finance to support finance legal audit and other teams.
• Financial data and application design utilizing Golang SQL JavaScript NodeJS languages.
• Be agile and capable to switch between operations and development roles as needed.
• Use independent judgement and applied skills to develop new programs and processes to expand finance systems functionality.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Provide high levels of technical skills to deliver best results in the industry.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Supporting critical production systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Understanding of basic accounting and industry business models such as subscriptions preorders royalties revenue sharing and bounties.
• Sound understanding of the following technical areas:

• Relational database systems such as Oracle or Snowflake database and data warehouse design and loading and working with very large datasets. Experience in SQL window functions and other SQL analytical functions.
• Data ETL tools such as Informatica or data pipeline design and development.
• Cloud (AWS) architecture services (EC2 S3 EFS MSK Lambda) distributed systems and backend architecture.
• Eventdriven architecture using Apache Kafka (AWS MSK) and Golang.
• Event streaming producers consumers event agents.

• Experience in a variety of programming languages such as SQL Linux shell scripting Golang JavaScript NodeJS.
• Nice to have experience in developing and supporting an eventdriven architecture (EDA) with proven handson experience coding using Golang or similar languages.
• Nice to have handson experience with bash shell scripting Github version control and Jenkins automation.

• Working with the following tools (or similar):

• Issue Tracking (e.g. JIRA Service Now)
• Collaboration (e.g. Confluence Trello)
• Communication (e.g. Slack Webex Skype for Business)
• Version Control (e.g. Github)
• Automation (e.g. Jenkins Ansible CloudFormation Terraform)

• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Working effectively with offshore / near shore service providers.
• Passion for pursuing new technologies and constantly learning.
• Working within controlled/compliancebased environments (particularly Sarbanes Oxley) would be beneficial.
