Do you enjoy solving customer problems Technical sales internship brings together engineering marketing and sales experiences. You will interact with our talented product engineering and sales teams. As you travel the country you will receive a competitive wage as you explore our industryleading products and gain professional customer interaction experiences. This sales internship reports to a sales leader for you to gain insight and experiences.

*If your university quarter/semester doesnt end until after these dates we may consider an alternate schedule of 09 June 2025 to 19 December 2025.
Your exact responsibilities will vary depending upon assignment but you can expect opportunities like these during your internship.
- Learn strategies including product to market businesstobusiness (B2B) and sales consulting:
- Job shadow our professional product management and sales teams.
- Attend trade shows demonstrate products and visit customers.
- Give customer presentations.
- Conduct research.
- Contribute to Daktronics Intern Group:
- Monthly luncheons.
- Attend Toastmasters.
- Recruiting events.
- Give internship capstone presentation and attend colleagues presentations.
- Build and maintain professional relationships.
What is the pay and perks
The typical hiring range for this position is $17.50/hour to $21.00/hour based on the location of Brookings SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors including relevant education experiences location and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications
- You can quickly learn technical product features and functions and can communicate to nontechnical customers and users.
- Can capture and evaluate nontechnical customer feedback and organize to communicate to technical product managers and developers.
- You have a strong interest in sports and can relate to stakeholders of sporting applications.
- Youre an outgoing selfmotivated flexible wellorganized person who is both empathetic and personable. You understand customers so know the work schedule may include evenings and weekends. You can meet our academic travel and other requirements.
Academic:
- Preferred applicants will be currently enrolled in accredited bachelors program in Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or Computer Software related degree. Helpful minors include technical sales entrepreneurial studies/management marketing economics or certificate/coursework in personal selling or technical sales. Will consider May 2025 graduates.
- Completion of sophomore year in good academic standing.
- Required to take a semester off from school to pursue the internship if not a graduate. Duration of internship will be a semester and a summer.
- Must be able to commit to at least 40 hours per week. Overtime will be required as needed to support special events and travel.

Travel:
- Willing to travel up to 20 of the time 45 days). Generally 518 trips ranging from 213 days including weekends with the average being 2 days away.
- Travel
- Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid drivers license. Motor vehicle records will be checked. Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Qualified Driver status.
- Ground travel includes Durangos and/or small and large trucks.
- Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Qualified Driver status.
- Physically able to connect trailer to vehicle.
- Be able to operate large trucks with or without trailers safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements for operating Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV):
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Obtain state & company certification to operate a CMV with a gross vehicle weight rating from 10001 to 26001 pounds.
- Employees will be required to participate in a driver exam road test.
- Pass a medical exam which includes drug test.
Other:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English written and verbal. Knowledge of Spanish or French helpful.
