Mental Health Practitioner Access and Recovery Center (ARC) Housing First
People Incorporated Mental Health Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to become a key member of our Access and Recovery Center (ARC) Housing First program. This program offers a wraparound approach that integrates services like ARMHS Behavioral Health Home and GRH to support individuals on their path to stability and recovery.
As a Mental Health Practitioner with ARC Housing First you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide direct client engagement personalized support and interventions for individuals who have experienced longterm homelessness. Youll play an essential role in helping clients access and maintain housing through comprehensive services like Housing Stabilization and Housing Support.
Your work will focus on supporting individuals in scatteredsite housing programs across Hennepin Ramsey Dakota and Anoka Counties. Youll collaborate with housing providers and landlords helping clients navigate housing search and placement tailored to their specific needs.
This role emphasizes a personcentered approach where youll conduct assessments provide education facilitate group and individual meetings and ensure clear timely documentation. Youll help clients achieve their goals through individualized care plans that promote healthy lifestyles and overall wellbeing.

Hiring Range: $22.00 $23.76 plus $1000 hiring bonus for external candidates

Main Job Duties:
- Using personcentered principles actively engage clients in their mental health recovery and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
- Facilitate and conduct individual services that address a variety of needs and health concerns for the client. May facilitate and conduct group interventions if applicable.
- Provide collateral information for nursing assessments and conduct interviews and gather information to inform treatment planning planofcare reviews and discharge plans as needed or directed.
- Document interactions and interventions with clients according to program requirements into the organizations Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or recordkeeping system.
- Provide crisis intervention and deescalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
- Participate in coordination of services through the recognition of the multiple needs of the client with other providers in the community in an effort to provide necessary resources to the client.
- Provide various skillbuilding teaching and/or coaching as it relates to the individuals goal and/or treatment plan.
- These duties are to be performed during regularly scheduled shifts unless noted otherwise (awake).
- Assist with completing necessary client intake and admission paperwork and providing program orientation if applicable.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma and:
- Two years of experience in the delivery of services to people with mental Illness Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities OR:
- One year of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness DD ID or TBI and receives clinical supervision from a mental health professional once a week until two years of experience is met
OR:
- High school diploma and:
- One years of experience in the delivery of services to people with motional disturbance or substance use disorder and receives clinical supervision from a mental health professional once a week until 4000 hours of experience is met
- One year of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness DD ID or TBI and receives clinical
OR:
- Has completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral science or a related field and
- Has proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields;
- Has 2000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness DD ID or TBI
OR
- Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science or related field
- Has proof of practicum or internship that require direct interactions with adults or children served and is focused behavioral science or related field
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a behavioral science or related field and proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields
- 2000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness
