THE PRACTICE
Community Memorial Health System (CMHS) Ventura CA
Community Memorial has a thriving residency program in Psychiatry. The goal of our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program is to train outstanding physicians who work in a collaborative environment and give back to the communities with which they are involved. After completing our program many medical residents remain in the area making friends starting families and forging lasting doctor/patient relationships.
Consult Liaison Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist: Provides professional specialized psychiatric diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients of all ages in the outpatient settings at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. The psychiatrist reports to and is supervised by the Psychiatry Chief.

THE AREA
- Ventura County comprises the OxnardThousand OaksVentura CA Metropolitan Statistical Area which is also included in the Los AngelesLong Beach CA Combined Statistical Area. It is also considered the southernmost county along the California Central Coast. There are 555953 acres 224986 ha) outside of national forest land in Ventura County. North of Highway 126 the county is mountainous and mostly uninhabited and contains some of the most unspoiled rugged and inaccessible wilderness remaining in southern California. Small coastal mountains rim Ventura County on its landward side.
