A place to make a difference:
In this parttime maximumterm position 30.4 hours per week Monday to Thursday to end of June 2025 with potential for extension) youll provide practical case management support to young people aged 1017 years and their families in Wagga and surrounding areas focusing on reducing avoidable shortterm remand. As part of the ShortTerm Remand Pilot and reporting to the Team Leader youll deliver targeted culturally safe support.

Youre genuinely passionate about advocating for young people and ensuring they have the support they need to avoid unnecessary shortterm remand. With experience in traumainformed practice and strengthsbased approaches you bring a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people involved in the justice system. Your background is ideally in Social Work Psychology Human Services Social Sciences or a similar field and you thrive on engaging with communities building relationships and providing practical support. Your strong cultural knowledge enables you to work effectively with families and youre creative and committed to supporting young people aged 1017 years in finding positive pathways forward.
