Job Description
Typical Responsibilities:
- Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Cargo/Weapons Elevators Aircraft Elevators Deck Edge Doors Hanger Bay Divisional Doors Vertical Package Conveyors and other assigned equipment.
- Accompany elevator assessors aboard U.S. Navy ships and confirm that shipboard elevator/conveyor configurations match technical documentation.
- Complete material readiness assessment reports as defined by the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) Vol. IV Chapter 8.
Location:Onsite at MidAtlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk VA.
Typical Physical Activity:Mix of desk/computer work in an office environment and visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve: repetitive motion traversing shipboard environments (e.g. confined spaces ladders hatches) or vision.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required:This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (highly preferred); OR be eligible for a new Secret security clearance prior to start.
Typical Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent applicable military A or C school or other relevant vocational training.
- At least three 3 years of recent relevant experience with U.S. Navy shipboard Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for Cargo/Weapons Elevators Aircraft Elevators Deck Edge Doors Hanger Bay Divisional Doors Vertical Package Conveyors and other assigned equipment.
- Ideal experience includes at least one shipboard tour preferably on an amphib and/or a machinist mate parts PO.
- Be familiar with elevator door and conveyor terminologies and configurations.
- Proficient with common productivity software such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills.
