OnsiteWe are adding a Manufacturing Engineer I to the Engine Sensing Manufacturing Support Team at the Collins Aerospace Burnsville facility.
In this role you will make an impact by evaluating and solving everyday manufacturing problems related to design process and supplier issues for the manufacture of highquality sensing assemblies in a collaborative team environment. You will provide technical support to operations in the form of enabling and improving the flow of manufacturing utilizing the principles of quality and industrial engineering.
Our ideal candidate will be a curious selfstarter with excellent teaming communication and relationship building abilities. The candidate will also have a passion for LEAN principles and processes and be eager to contribute to improved efficiency and productivity using their LEAN toolkit.
What You Will Do:
Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple assembly process steps
Support production build operators with immediate needs on tooling and processes to meet production schedule.
Implement procedure and process improvements based on safety quality and productivity.
Improve production facilities and equipment layouts.
Perform evaluations and conducts special process assessments or audits.
What You Will Learn:
Gain knowledge in how to identify and address safety concerns.
Lean to analyze and understand factory needs and requirements.
Gain knowledge on how to identify and manage risk in product development (primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) core elements e.g. PFMEA MSA Process Flow and Control Plans etc..
Types of special process specifications include but are not limited to Welding Brazing NDT heat treat soldering and chemical processing.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Bachelors degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products
CAD experience preferred
